Parties, coalitions and independent candidates to run at June 25 elections began registration on Friday at the Central Elections Commission (CEC).
The first party to submit its registration papers was the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), CEC Spokesman Biser Troyanov announced.
All runners should submit their registration papers by May 9.
For the first time in modern Bulgarian history since 1989 democratic changes, Bulgarians will vote at general elections with an integral ballot.
The recently amended Bulgarian Elections Law envisions that voters home and abroad will vote with a white common ballot with all names of parties and coalitions running for parliamentary seats, including independent candidates, printed on it. |
