US Seeks to Intensify Agribusiness Trade with Bulgaria

Over 15 U.S. agribusinesses will participate in the third Trade and Investment Mission, which will be launched May 16 in Bulgaria in a bid to stimulate and expand U.S. - Bulgarian agribusiness trade and investment. The U.S. companies range in size from small, family businesses specialized in farm equipment manufacturing to international agricultural input producers. Senior members of the government will give the U.S. executives an in-depth briefing on Bulgaria's business and investment climate. The U.S. companies will meet one-on-one with potential partners and clients throughout the week. They will also travel outside of Sofia to view food production and processing industries to promote joint ventures, support bilateral trade and boost investment in Bulgaria's rich agricultural sector. The event is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture - through the U.S. Embassy in Sofia. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Mission will be led by Mrs. Mary Chambliss, Deputy Administrator for USDA's agricultural export programs in Washington DC.
